Burns calls for Roads Servce to resurface St Patrick’s Park
Sinn Fein councillor Colman Burns has requested that Roads Service make a concerted effort to complete the work they have carried out on the footpaths in St Patrick’s Park, Cullyhanna, by now resurfacing the park. Burns made his comments after speaking with local Road Service Officials last week.
Speaking to Newry Times, Burns said, “Resurfacing has been done on footpaths at Mullaghbawn, Daly Park Silverbridge and Cullyhanna. This work was badly needed and will ensure that the footpaths are in good condition for many years to come.
“However, the condition of the remaining surface in some of these parks is not good, especially St Patrick’s Park in Cullyhanna. I have asked Road Service Officials to inspect this with a view to completely resurfacing the remaining sections that are in need of work.
He added, “Some of these areas have had very little work done to their estates for many years so I think now is the time to complete this much needed work.”
