Red light breach leads to drugs arrest
Driving through a red light has led to the discovery of a quantity of drugs and the subsequent arrest of a 45 year old man.
Police in Newry stopped a car on Bridge Street, Newry, at around 8.25pm on Friday, 11th January after observing the car breaching a red light.
A preliminary impairment test was carried out on the driver and a small quantity of suspected cannabis was recovered during a subsequent search.
The man was cautioned for possession of a controlled substance.
