The Wishing Tree at Newry Market

The Wishing Tree is the latest Sticky Fingers Arts event to provide local children with an original and magical traditional Christmas experience. The Wishing Tree takes place on Friday 7th December from 5pm to 7pm in Newry Market and admission is free.

A truly magical experience for children and families in a truly magical setting, join the Sticky Fingers team in this Christmas celebration with music and traditions from around the world.

Create your very own magic wish and place it on the Christmas tree, meet some very interesting local characters and enjoy the seasonal tales that will be told before meeting Santa himself and his toymaker.

Speaking to Newry Times, Grainne Powell Chief Executive at Sticky Fingers Arts stated,

“We are delighted to be able to create something special for local children at this magical time of year and welcome back some of our favourite performers to present a creative treat for the young and the young at heart and to yet again team up with the Council Horticultural Team to create a perfect setting for this time of year.”

The Wishing Tree event has been devised in association with Newry and Mourne Council as part of the Christmas Craft Fayre. The Arts Council for Northern Ireland kindly supports Sticky Fingers Arts.
