Community, What's On
If you know your Mr Darcy from your Mr Gray and enjoy having your say about a wide range of books then this new club is just the thing for you! The new book club will kick off at Grounded in Slieve Gullion Forest Park on Saturday 8th December. During the monthly get together the group will select a book and have a chance to share their thoughts and opinions about it. The club is also a chance to share personal favourites from the world of literature with others. The reading list will be shaped by the group but will include a wide range of fiction from the classics to 21st century material so something to suit all tastes. Graeme Finnegan, owner of the Grounded chain is enthusiastic about the club and said, “I’m really glad to be able to give this new club a home in Slieve Gullion and hosting it in Grounded is a perfect match – good books, good company and of course good coffee!” Emma McQuaid, organiser of the club said, “I’m really grateful to Graeme, firstly for his enthusiasm, assistance and support when I approached him with the idea and secondly with providing us with a venue to meet in.” Emma added, “I’m really looking forward to chatting with other book lovers at the first meeting and everyone will be made very welcome on Saturday.” The first meeting will take place on Saturday 8th December from 10.30-11.30am and everyone is welcome. For more information please email or keep an eye on the Grounded Slieve Gullion facebook page for more updates. Grounded Coffee Shop is located in The Courtyard at Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Dromintee Road, Newry.
