Pat Jennings announced as Special Guest for PIPS Newry Open Day
On Thursday 22nd November, PIPS Newry & Mourne are holding an Open Day Event, which will begin at 10am and finish at 4pm
The Open Day event, which is a free event open to members of the public, will include a range of information stands about the services and community based schemes relating to suicide prevention across the Newry & Mourne area.
Special Guest on the Day will be Northern Ireland’s goalkeeping Legend and Newry’s own Pat Jennings who will be attending from 2 pm to give his support to the suicide prevention initiatives of PIPS Newry & Mourne and the many other partners and stakeholders who are providing specialist services.
Pat will encourage those in our community who need help and support to reach out and get the help they need.
Speaking to Newry Times, Seamus McCabe, CEO of PIPS Newry & Mourne commented,
“A key aim of the event is not only to raise awareness of what PIPS Newry & Mourne does but also how the organisation works in partnership with other service providers and healthcare professionals to deliver vital services to the local community and across the whole of the Southern Trust Area.”
