HEY! nominated for another two business awards

Following their recent successful shortlisting for a DANI Award 2012, the young Hey! team have gone and secured shortlisting for two more honours in The Business Eye Awards 2012.

They have been nominated in two categories, ‘Best Use of Online Video’ for their work with the Charles Hurst Group and ‘Young Business Personality of the Year’ for company owner, Garrett O’Hare.

Established in 2008 by Garrett, the Hey! Group has grown by 200% year-on-year from first opening. He employs 10 people with an average age of 25 and he opened a London office last year and in the short amount of time of operating, he has acquired large contracts from well known and reputable companies such as Charles Hurst, First Derivatives and Concern Worldwide.

Since his initial enterprises of vending machines and portable advertising Garrett has also established Hey! Pharmatech, which develops innovative veterinary pharmaceutical products, Hey! Ignite a “one stop shop” assisting start-up businesses to establish themselves and Hey! Creative Communications, a modern and unique brand communications company that offers complete branding and marketing services, which to date has seen the greatest success.

To date, Garrett’s greatest successes are the large contracts Hey! has won, the fact that the company has defied the economic turn-down, being chosen to speak for the Royal Veterinary College, London, Google Israel, Orange Israel and being shortlisted for four awards in 2012.

However, it is his ambitions for the future that excites him further, “I love the business and each day trying to further establish it. I endeavour to open a New York office, provide greater employment in the local area and assist with more new start-ups.

“I learnt through intuition, trial and error and hard work when starting my own businesses but I know there’s other entrepreneurs that could avail of my experience, so I’d like to help them out!”

Garrett’s natural entrepreneurial spirit, innovative vision and concern for local employment opportunities make him an obvious candidate for the ‘Young Business Personality of the Year’ in 2012.
