Burns congratulates Crossmaglen school

Sinn Fein Councillor Colman Burns has congratulated the teachers and pupils of St Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen on their continuing high achievements at GCSE and A level. He was speaking after the Department of Education’s Official figures revealed that St Joseph’s had come sixth best out of 148 non grammar schools whose results were analyzed.

Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Burns said, “This is a brilliant achievement for the school and proves the dedication and huge team effort from the pupils and teachers is having just rewards. These results also prove that, to achieve the higher qualifications, children do not need to travel many miles to grammar schools in cities. St Joseph’s High School in Crossmaglen has the dedicated teaching staff and the commitment necessary to achieve the top grades.”
