Exploring Theology course to be offered
Beginning in September, the “Exploring Theology” Certificate Course will be offered at Dromantine Retreat and Conference Centre. The course will explore topics such as Christian Morality, Reading the Old Testament, Group Learning and Facilitation, and Social Teaching in the Church.
The course is offered through a partnership of the Edgehill Methodist Theological College-Belfast, Mater Dei Institute of Education-Dublin, and the Society of African Missions-Dromantine. The Certificate is awarded through Dublin City University and can lead to a Diploma and Degree.
Do you have an interest in Christian Theology? Are you curious to learn more and to dig a bit deeper? Would you value the opportunity to be challenged and to grow in unexpected ways without the pressure of examinations?
“Exploring Theology” is designed for people from a variety of backgrounds and offers a unique learning experience. As a former student of the course reflects, “The course was an opportunity for me not only to learn more about my own religion, but it also give me a great appreciation for other Christian denominations and the similarity between us all.”
If you are interested in becoming a part of this exciting cross-community, inter-church programme, starting in September 2012, please contact Scott at Edgehill College at 028 9068 6933 or rec@edgehillcollege.org. Applicants from a Protestant background are particularly welcome to apply. Application deadline is 1st June.
