Down’s Conor Garvey looking forward to Championship following NFL defeat

Down full back Conor Garvey is this week looking forward with positivity, despite Down’s defeat to Cork at the weekend.

Garvey have pointed to the run out at Croke Park, saying there are benefits to playing at GAA headquarters, “There are not too many people who get a run-out on Croke Park. It is always good to play on Croke Park. We will go home now and study the video and try to learn from our mistakes. Hopefully, we will be able to set ourselves up for Fermanagh.”

The Down man continued by saying the Mournemen have achieved their first objective of the season, “The main thing at the start of the year was to stay in Division One, then focus on Fermanagh in the championship. We have stayed in Division One, so it is all guns out now for Fermanagh.”
