Education Minister visits Crossmaglen Primary School
Slieve Gullion Sinn Féin councillors Colman Burns, Anthony Flynn and Terry Hearty have commended St Patrick’s Primary School on their warm reception for the Education Minister John O’Dowd who visited the school on Wednesday 7th March.
Councillor Hearty, who sits on the Board of Governors for St Patrick’s Primary School said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the concert which the pupils performed for their visitors and it was wonderful to meet up with all the teachers and school Principal Mr Madine. I wish to commend St Patrick’s Primary School on all the work they have done to protect the environment and they have demonstrated that they fully deserve the School Eco Flag.”
He continued, “The pupils are fully behind the Crossmaglen Ranger’s Team, some of whom were at the school today and it was great to see the whole school decorated in black and amber! We received great hospitality during our visit to the school on Wednesday and I wish all the teachers and pupils all the best for the remainder of the school year.”
