Crossmaglen Community meeting to tackle anti-social behaviour

Councillor Terry Hearty has urged all interested parties to be represented at the next Community Meeting to deal with the problems of drug, alcohol and anti-social behaviour in and around Crossmaglen. The meeting will take place on Wednesday 1st February at 7.00pm in Crossmaglen Community Centre.

The Sinn Féin councillor said, “This is the next in a series of meetings which have taken place at three month intervals in Crossmaglen. People have come to me and told me that they have found them very useful because representatives from all the statutory agencies are there in one place. At Wednesday’s meeting the PSNI, Housing Executive, Drug and Alcohol Services, Environmental Health and Community Safety Partnership will all be present.”

He added, “I hope that members of the local GAA clubs, youth clubs, community groups, residents associations and all interested local people come on the night and take this opportunity to put any questions or issues they have to the people who are responsible for them.”
