Thieves snatch keys and steal woman’s car in Warrenpoint

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following the theft of a car from Church Street. Between 11pm and 11.15pm on Wednesday 14th December, two males approached a female using an ATM on Queen Street. They grabbed her car keys from her hand and one of the males got into her black Audi A4 car and drove off in the direction of Rostrevor. The two males are described as being of slim build with dark hair and both were wearing white shirts. One wore blue jeans while the other wore black trousers.

The vehicle was recovered a short time later in the Seafields area. An 18 year old male was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the theft of the car or the car being abandoned to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
