Michelle O’Neill visits South Armagh greenway site on former British army barracks

Forkhill9Sinn Féin’s Megan Fearon has welcomed a visit by Sinn Féin’s leader in the north, Michelle O’Neill to a new greenway site on a former British army barracks in Forkhill.


 

The Newry and Armagh candidate said, “I was delighted to welcome my party colleague Michelle O’Neill to Forkhill to view progress on the site of a former British army barracks which is being transformed into a greenway.

Jan End 2017“Michelle O’Neill invested £250,000 in the project when she was Agriculture Minister and saw at first hand today how the site is being transformed for the benefit of the local community.


 

“We met with local residents and heard how the transformation of the site has changed the local area and empowered the local community.


 

She added, “This is yet another example of Sinn Féin delivering for local people.”
