Newry police investigate ‘suspicious approach’ to teenage girl

Police are investigating what they described as a ‘suspicious incident’ which occurred in the vicinity of the community centre at Meigh, Newry.

psni57It was reported that at around 9pm on Thursday, August 4th, a teenage girl was approached by two males in suspicious circumstances.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who noticed two men in the area at this time.

They are described as being in their early 20s, around 6ft tall of thin build and pale complexion, both wearing light coloured jeans, and one was wearing a blue hooded top, while the other was wearing a red hooded top.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone who noticed a silver-coloured saloon-type car in the area around this time.
