Excitement builds for Open Air Cinema Nights at Slieve Gullion
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The show tonight (Friday 24th June 2016) has been postponed due to health and safety reasons because of forecasted weather conditions. This has been rescheduled to 8th July 2016 and all purchased tickets for tonight’s show will be valid to use on 8th July.
“Hey you guuuuys!” Excitement is building in Newry & Mourne after the launch of a number of Cinema Nights at Slieve Gullion.
Who fancies watching the 80’s movie classic ‘The Goonies’ under the stars in the lovely Walled Garden at Slieve Gullion on 24th June?
The Force is strong at Slieve Gullion, so who also fancies watching the latest Star Wars movie on 1st July?
Slieve Gullion Weddings and Events (by Clanrye Group) are bringing you a movie extravaganza on 24th June and 1st July using state of the art digital projectors and bespoke sound equipment but with the magic of being under the stars.
There will be hot drinks and food available on the night. Hot food van Burgerlicious and Malone’s Ice Cream van, who will both be at Slieve Gullion all year long, will be based in the car park on the cinema evenings providing hot and cold treats.
Burgerlicious are offering some great deals to movie fans: A Jumbo Hot Dog, Chip and Can for £4.50, 1/4 Burger, Chip and Can for £4.50 or why not try their Slieve Gullion burger?
Malone’s Ice Cream will be providing tasty ice cream and much more!

Gates will open at 8:30pm and the movie will be screened at 9:30pm. Strictly no alcohol will be allowed in the venue and security checks will be taking place upon entry.
Seating is casual so make sure to bring your own blankets, deck chairs or beanbags.
Tickets are charged at £5 per person and can be picked up from Reception in Slieve Gullion Courtyard or from The Wedding Room at Drumalane Mill at The Quays shopping centre.
