Young Environmental Champion at St Patrick’s PS, Mayobridge | Newry Times
Northern Ireland Water is undertaking a number of exciting projects to look after our environment and reduce the impact of climate change.
Investing in hydrogen, restoring peatlands and exploring other new renewable energy opportunities alongside ambitious tree planting on our lands.
To celebrate the start of their mission to plant 1 million trees we challenged Primary 7 pupils, in schools local to our first planting site in the Fofanny catchment area, with the task of designing a poster to highlight the exciting environmental projects they are undertaking.
NI Water had some fantastic entries and with help from the Woodland Trust NI they chose their winning entry from St Patrick’s PS, Mayobridge.
The winning posters will be showcased on their environmental micro-site.
