Translink Staff Charity Fund gives £36,000 to local charities
Translink staff have recently made donations to twelve local charities including Translink charity partner Cancer Focus Northern Ireland along with eleven other staff nominated charities ahead of Christmas.
The transport operator’s employees raised funds through their payroll Give As You Earn Scheme and nominated a range of charities for donations focusing on key issues including mental and physical health, food support, older and younger people.
Donations of £3,000 each were made to the following 12 charities:
1. Samaritans
2. Foyle Search & Rescue
3. Simon Community
4. Chest Heart Stroke
5. Cancer Focus NI
6. Women’s Aid
7. Hygiene Bank
8. Peoples Kitchen Belfast
9. Alzheimer’s Society
10. Dementia NI
11. Crossroads Care NI
12. Translink’s own Christmas ‘Stuff A Bus NI’ initiative supporting Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul.
