‘Voices of Covid 2020’ to be heard as new book is launched
Whilst the pandemic continues to dominate the media a new book has been launched which captures the experiences of a cross-section of the community during the lockdown.
The book ‘Voices of Covid 2020’ is a collection of experiences from the general public and some well known Northern Ireland figures.
These are personal testimonies and reflections.
They are heartbreaking, funny and inspiring.
The project was started by a group of volunteers and took four months to complete.
Rather uniquely the organisers never met in person throughout the collation of the stories and submissions.
The proceeds of the book will go to two local charities, PIPS Hope and Support and Marie Curie.
It is hoped that the public and local businesses will buy the book as gifts for Christmas and thereby ending 2020 on a message of hope and community solidarity.
