Young people represent around 40% of Translink’s customer base and the public transport operator wants to empower them and improve their public transport experience.

Throughout the day valuable discussions took place and Translink used the networking opportunity to speak to young people about the various issues affecting them with regards to public transport and highlight important messages around the connection between the economy, social inclusion, congestion and active lifestyles.

Speaking at the event, Lucy Grainger, Translink Youth Forum member, said, “It was a wonderful event that will be great for us to help shape and improve transport for young people.

“All the young people were highly engaged in the workshops and seemed to enjoy themselves.

She added, “As staff, we also enjoyed the event and are grateful for all the amazing feedback.”
