Newry police issue appeal after local theft

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a report of the theft of a number of items at the Blaney Road area of Newtownhamilton on Friday 10 August.

Sometime between 9 am and 8 pm on Friday 10 August, it was reported that a number of tools were stolen from the property.

 

 

The items taken during the incident included a Dolmar petrol leaf blower, a Stihl petrol extendable hedge cutter, a green Metabo battery operated socket gun (serial number 602205840) and a green Metabo battery angle grinder (serial number 602170840).

Other items taken during the theft were a yellow DeWalt battery drill, a red Dolmar 18” chainsaw and a black RC ½ inch air ratchet.

 

 

Constable Nugent appealed to anyone with any information or who saw anything suspicious to contact police in Newry on 101 quoting reference number 1327 10/8/18.

He added, “Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
