Newry Councillor urges vigilance after burglary

Newry Sinn Féin Councillor Liz Kimmins has urged homeowners along Chancellors Road to be vigilant after reports of a burglary at a home in Dunbrae Housing Development.

Speaking to Newry Times, the local Councillor said, “A homeowner informed me her home was burgled on Saturday evening between 4:45pm and 7pm.

“Seemingly another home in the Camlough Area was robbed in that time period also.

“A dark coloured car was noticed in the vicinity of both crime scenes. The robberies may be linked.”

The Sinn Féin representative added, “I would urge all homeowners and residents to be extra vigilant.

“Anyone who notices anything suspicious should contact the PSNI on 101.”
