Warrenpoint Town Football Club has announced that 22-year-old Ciaran O’Connor has returned to the club, signing from Finn Harps.

A former Rangers, Quay Celtic and Rock Celtic youngster, O’Connor has also had a lot of experience in the League of Ireland, having spells at Dundalk, Derry City, Longford Town, Bohemians and most recently Finn Harps.

The attacking midfielder joined the ‘Point on loan back in 2014 and played an important role in helping the club retain their Danske Bank Premier Division status that season, scoring five goals in 17 appearances.

Speaking to Newry Times, Manager Stephen Mc Donnell stated, “I’m delighted to welcome Ciaran back to the club for his second spell. We look forward to seeing Ciaran back in a ‘Point jersey along with our other summer signings.

“Ciaran is a top player with so much potential.

“He will be another great addition to our squad, I look forward to working with him,” he added.
