Councillor urges vigilance after South Armagh robberies

Slieve Gullion Area Sinn Féin Councillor Terry Hearty has said that the recent spate of robberies in the Culloville locality has caused great concern within the community and he appealed for vigilance.

The local Councillor stated, “The recent spate of robberies in Culloville village and the surrounding area has caused great concern amongst local residents.

“I would appeal for all to be extra vigilant and be alert to suspicious activity.”

“With holidays and the good weather many houses may be vacant for a time, so I’d encourage homeowners to advise their neighbours if they are to be away for any length of time.

“I have contacted the local Community Association and offered to facilitate a meeting with residents to discuss concerns if needed.

The Sinn Féin representative added, “However in the meantime, vigilance is key to deterring those engaged in these criminal acts.”
