Search for wanted men continues as police ‘narrow the search’

The search for two men, James White and Alexis Guesto, continues after a search operation in the Silverbridge area of South Armagh.

Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Chief Inspector Jill Duffie from PSNI Public Protection Branch said, “We would like to thank the local community for the information they have provided so far that has assisted us in our search for James White and Alexis Guesto.

“We have received a number of positive sightings and officers have gathered evidence which has allowed us to narrow the search area throughout the course of the day.

“I would like to reassure the community in South Armagh that police are committed to locating these individuals as quickly as we can and I would ask anyone who knows where these two men are, or believes they may have seen them to contact us on 101 quoting reference 395 of 28/04/18.

She added, “Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”

Officers remain in the area conducting further enquiries at this time.
