Southern Trust welcomes new Chief Executive

Shane Devlin has been appointed as the new permanent Chief Executive of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust effective from Monday 19 March.

Speaking to Newry Times, Southern Trust Chairperson Roberta Brownlee said, “‘I am delighted to welcome Shane into this important role.

 

 

“A Southern Trust resident himself, Shane joins us from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, where he has been Chief Executive since 2016.

“He brings significant strategic health and social care experience, having worked across the service since 1998 in a wide range of operational and management posts.

 

 

“‘I am greatly looking forward to working with him and have every confidence that Shane will be an excellent appointment for this Trust, its staff, and for the people we serve,” she added.

Shane’s first day in the office will be Tuesday, March 20th.

Over the next few weeks, he will be focusing on meeting staff working in the wide range of services delivered across the Trust area.
