Newry police charge five people with drugs offences
A number of men and women have been charged by Newry police with drugs offences.
The charges follow a property search in Newry on 17th January and the subsequent arrests of five people.
A 32 year old male has been charged with Possession of a Class A controlled drug, namely heroin, and appeared at Newry MC on Friday 19th January.
Two men, aged 34 and 46, have been charged with Possession of a Class A controlled drug, namely heroin, and are expected to appear at Newry MC on 14th February.
A 50 year old woman has been charged with Permitting Premises to be used for supply of Class A drugs and is expected to appear in court on 14th February.
A 56 year old man has been released unconditionally.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
