Man stabbed in the chest in Newry

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following a report of an assault at a house.

The assault took place in the Carrickateel Court area of Newry on Sunday 19th November.



Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Constable McKeever said, “At approximately 11:25 am it was reported to police that a man in his 30s had been stabbed in the chest at a property and was then taken to hospital for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.



“Three men in their 40s have since been arrested in relation to the incident but have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Constable McKeever added, “I would ask that anyone with information contact 101 quoting reference 575 of 19/11/17, or if they wish to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
