Daisy Hill Pathfinder project to produce final report before Christmas

Dr Anne- Marie Telford, Chair of the Daisy Hill Pathfinder project has advised that the final report of the Daisy Hill Hospital Pathfinder group will be produced before Christmas.

The report had been due in November but given the volume of work being taken forward, members of the group had suggested a short extension to the timescale would be required.

Dr Telford explained, “A huge amount of work has been progressed since this project commenced in the summer and I am grateful to all of the members of the Pathfinder group who have been and remain fully committed to the process.

“Everyone has worked tirelessly to ensure we will have robust proposals in place to sustain and develop the urgent and emergency care needs of people living in the Newry and Mourne community.

She added, “Our work continues at a rapid pace and we are now aiming for a new project completion date of 21st December with implementation of our recommendations expected to make significant progress in the following months.”
