Vehicle ‘completely destroyed’ in Newry arson attack

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information after a vehicle arson in the city.

It happened in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, 22nd September.



Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Constable Skillen said, “Shortly before 4:15 am it was reported that a vehicle had been set alight in the vicinity of Nursery Drive.”

The vehicle was completely destroyed as a result of this attack.



Scorch damage was also caused to property nearby.

Detective Constable Skillen added, “Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 161 22/09/17, or if they wish to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
