Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady has called the installation of a new lighting system in Raymond McCreesh Park a ‘crucial investment’ for the facility and wider area.

He was speaking following the announcement that a new system of lights would be installed in the park.

The Newry Armagh MP said, “The lights are a much needed and welcome addition to the park, which is a treasured facility for the Barcroft and Ballybot area.

“The community association have been tireless in their efforts to see this project through.

“Investment like this can transform the park for children in the area, making it safer and more accessible for people of all ages.

The local MP added, “Residents have set an example with their efforts, and much more investment of this kind is needed for the people of Ballybot.”
