Community, What's On

Buttercrane Shopping Centre, in conjunction with IUR FM, is searching for local people with musical talent to take to the stage throughout September as part of a new live music initiative – Saturday Sessions.

They are looking for talented local people (16+) to enter via their Facebook page.

Whether you’re a solo act, duo, musician or singer/songwriter Buttercrane wants to hear from you!

A judging panel of musicians, IUR FM DJs and Buttercrane representatives will select the best 15 acts and they will perform on Mall each Saturday throughout September.

Each act will be interviewed on air and their 20 minute set broadcast live by IUR FM.

The best acts from the weekly heats will go forward to a Grand Final on Saturday 30th September and one act will win £200 cash prize, a day in a recording studio to cut their own demo CD, as well as significant digital media and press exposure.

To enter, acts need to visit their Facebook page and submit a short 30-60 sec video by PM or post to the page up to 4th September.

Check out their Facebook for more details.
