Detectives in Newry are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on two cars in Forkhill during the early hours of Friday 11th August.

Shortly before 4am it was reported that flammable liquid had been poured over a Vauxhall Corsa parked in Park Urney and set on fire.

A second car that was parked close also caught fire after the first car rolled into it. Both cars sustained extensive damage as a result.

A transit van parked in the area was also broken into and a number of tools stolen.
