Saval Tractor Run raises £1000 for PIPS Newry
The Michael McCarthy Charity Tractor Run, an annual tractor run event that is organised annually in Saval, Newry, has raised a total of £1000 for the suicide prevention charity PIPS Newry & Mourne.
This years run consisted of many local farmers and a grand total of 62 tractors ran.
The route was a 17 mile circular course around Saval and took in some of the most spectacular countryside that South Down has to offer.

The tractors that took part in the run ranged from vintage to modern and many of the vintage tractors have been painstakingly restored while others are still a work in progress.
“It was all very well thought out which is a credit to all of the organisers,” a spokesperson for PIPS said.

Chairperson of the Saval Vintage Club, Micheal Sands thanked all who came and participated on the day, all who supported with gifts and donations and offered a special mention to Trim Graphics who sponsored the signage for the event and Euro Spar for providing the refreshments at the event.
He also thanked everyone who helped in any way to make the event the great success that it was.
PIPS Newry & Mourne expressed thanks to Saval Vintage Club committee and members for choosing PIPS N as their chosen charities.
