Praise for South Armagh Drugs Awareness event

hearty1Slieve Gullion Area Sinn Féin Councillor Terry Hearty has praised all those involved in organising the recent Drug & Substance Abuse Information meeting in Crossmaglen. The local Councillor said, “On behalf of our community I want to thank all those involved in hosting this hugely important Public Meeting. “It was delivered in a responsible, sensitive and informative manner. We as a community will work together to highlight the dangers of drug and substance abuse and we must also be mindful of knowing where help and support is available for anyone who gets caught up in the deadly cycle of abuse.”

Jan End 2017His colleague, Newry & Armagh Sinn Féin MLA Megan Fearon, who attended the meeting, congratulated Crossmaglen Rangers GAA Club for facilitating the event. “I congratulate Crossmaglen Rangers and all involved for facilitating this worthwhile event. “I commend the community for coming together to take steps to educate themselves in issues relating to the challenges of drug abuse and to help prevent the growth of this deadly problem.
She added, “Any practical help or support I are my colleagues can give to move forward tackling this problem together, will be readliy forthcoming.”
