‘Provision of road safety materials in Irish a welcome move’ – Ó Muirí

Sinn Fein's Barra Ó Muirí Slieve Gullion Area Sinn Féin Councillor Barra Ó Muirí has said that a commitment from Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard to provide road safety materials in Irish is a ‘welcome and very positive’ development. The Sinn Féin Councillor was speaking after his colleague Minister Hazzard had announced that he would increase the level of road safety education resources available in the Irish language.

30th-nov-2016-small-boxHe said, “I welcome the commitment from the Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard to increase the level of road safety education resources available in the Irish language. “These resources will provide Irish medium schools with road safety teaching materials. School children and young people are among the most vulnerable groups who use our roads and any steps to promote road safety should be welcomed.
