Newry shoppers urged to use Christmas budgeting planner

christmas1The Consumer Council is providing some timely Christmas budgeting advice as research shows almost a third of consumers (30%) are worried about their ability to make ends meet now, but even more consumers (37%) are worried about their ability to make ends meet in the future. The Consumer Council Christmas Budget Planner will help consumers plan their budget for gifts and food shopping. Philippa McKeown-Brown, Head of Consumer Empowerment and Protection at the Consumer Council said, “For many people, Christmas is a special time of year, but with the cost of presents and food shopping, it can also be a financially stressful time.
