Woman seriously injured in collision

psni30The Moyad Road, Newry, has been closed between the gatekeeper’s lodge and the Bryansford Road at its junction with the Slievenaman Road.

It follows a serious one vehicle road traffic collision that occurred just before 11.30pm on Tuesday 25th October.

A woman aged in her 20s has been taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Her injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.

UPDATE AT 14:30: The Moyad Road, Kilkeel, remains closed between the Gamekeepers Lodge and the Bryansford Road at its junction with the Slievenaman Road, following a serious one-vehicle collision shortly before 11.30pm last night, Tuesday 25th October. Motorists are reminded to not use the road at this time. A notification will be issued when the road re-opens.

UPDATE AT 17:00: The Moyad Road in Kilkeel has reopened to traffic following a serious one-vehicle collision last night, Tuesday 25th October.
