‘Governments north and south should co-operate on NAMA probe’ – Murphy

Sinn Fein's Conor MurphySinn Féin MLA Conor Murphy has said government departments north and south should co-operate on an investigation into the events leading up to the sale of NAMA’s northern loan portfolio. “There is no doubt that the events leading up to the sale of NAMA’s northern loan portfolio is a national issue and it needs to be approached on that basis. “While this presents challenges in terms of ongoing investigations in each jurisdiction, that should not be used as an obstacle in terms of establishing an all-Ireland investigation.

September 2016Murphy added, “Executive departments need to work with and co-operate with their counterparts in the Irish government to ensure transparency and get to the bottom of this important national issue.”
