Call for parking enforcement along Fathom Line in Newry

kevin mcateer2Independent Newry city Councillor Kevin McAteer has called on parking enforcement to be maintained along the Fathom Line. He was speaking after receiving complaints from members of the public about a lack of parking enforcement along the road. Speaking to Newry Times, the Independent Councillor said, “Residents of the area got in touch with me again about cars being parked along the Fathom Line road. “I know that some police cones are already there but I think the cones should be placed further down the road as well as where they are now. “This is a long running issue and it seems the police who are responsible for the maintaining of parking enforcement are not doing their job.

September 2016He added, “I believe the PSNI’s ability to do this job should be called into question as the issue is still ongoing.”
