Newtownhamilton High School pupils visit Stormont

Year 10 pupils from Newtownhamilton High School have paid a visit to Parliament Buildings, Stormont to gain an overview of the workings of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Newtownhamilton High School PhotographThe pupils participated in the Northern Ireland Assembly’s education program which included a tour of Parliament Buildings.

They were also provided with an insight into the role played by Assembly members and the functions assumed by Ministers of the Northern Ireland Executive.

Ulster Unionist Councillor David Taylor welcomed Newtownhamilton High School pupils to Parliament Buildings on behalf of Danny Kennedy MLA.

May June 2016He said that he was very pleased the school children present had enjoyed their experience of visiting Stormont and had displayed such great interest in learning about the workings of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
