Building on the strength of Haldane Fisher’s plumbing and heating division, Plumbmaster is the company’s new brand that will deliver an enhanced focus on the plumbing and heating sector. PlumbMaster1With its own dedicated trade counters, staff and delivery fleet, Plumbmaster’s nine branches across Northern Ireland will offer a superior service directly to the plumbing and heating sector. However, while it is a new name, customers will have the peace of mind that they are working with a company with extensive industry experience and expertise. “We have been in the plumbing and heating business for over 50 years but our extensive research found that, when people think Haldane Fisher, they still think builders’ and timber merchant,” explained Ian Haldane, Managing Director of Haldane Shiells Group. “We want to change this mind-set in the plumbing and heating industry and we see this as a real statement of intent. Ian added, “Through Plumbmaster we will be able to provide more of a specific focus on the plumbing and heating sector, with the aim of becoming the biggest independent plumbers’ merchant in Northern Ireland.” A significant investment programme is already well underway, with the first Plumbmaster to be unveiled at Haldane Fisher’s Newry headquarters in March ahead of a company-wide roll-out to be completed in the next few months. In addition to new signage at Haldane Fisher branches, the company has also invested in an additional four vans to strengthen the dedicated delivery service already in place. There will be rebranding at the nine plumbing and heating trade counters across Northern Ireland with the majority of branches having a separate entrance for Plumbmaster customers. All staff will also have their own branded workwear. These changes will be backed by extensive marketing support, including the launch of a microsite ahead of the official launch of a new website in May, plus customer and supplier events in each branch. PlumbMaster2Most importantly, all these significant changes, however, will be backed up by a dedicated service that the company has worked hard to ensure is in place ahead of the official launch of Plumbmaster. “That was very important to us,” explained David Haldane, Managing Director of Haldane Fisher in Northern Ireland. “The launch of Plumbmaster has been in our plans for a number of years, but we wanted to ensure we had all the important pieces of the jigsaw in place first. “We already have the products and service, so with the investment in the rebranding and the additional fleet, we have strengthened this further. But the most important emphasis was on having the right people. We have worked hard to get the right personnel in place and we have grown our team significantly over the last year. David added, “This is all aimed at providing the best overall experience for our customers and we are confident that Plumbmaster will be a success.” With its own management structure, Haldane Fisher has made a number of significant appointments in the plumbing and heating division recently, including at senior management level. Eamonn McCarthy, who was appointed as the company’s Associate Director for Plumbing & Heating last April, feels that customers will be the big winners of the change. “This is an exciting time for the company, and the launch of Plumbmaster was one of the main reasons why I joined Haldane Fisher,” Eamonn told Newry Times. “We have always been plumbing and heating specialists but the launch of Plumbmaster will take us to a new level. We have a really strong team in place – not just through the recent appointments but through the experienced staff who have helped build such a strong plumbing and heating division. “We are a locally owned business, which allows us to be more flexible and respond to customers quickly. We have the people, the products and the service already in place and, through Plumbmaster, we can now expand this further,” he added
