Police in Newry are asking motorists to be aware of their speed and slow down in the Bull Thompson Hill area. PSNI badgePolice have been made aware of concerns among the local community who regularly walk across the lane and fear that a pedestrian may be hurt by cars travelling too fast. Speaking to Newry Times, Constable McCartney said, “We are asking motorists to be mindful of pedestrians in the area and to reduce their speed. “We are also encouraging pedestrians to take extra care and make yourself visible when it is dark.”
