Newry police investigate possible link between two Armagh Road burglaries

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following burglaries at two properties on the Armagh Road in Newry on Sunday 6th December.

psni57It was reported that sometime between 3am and 4am a vacant house in the area was entered. It is not believed that anything was stolen during the incident.

At around 9.30pm it was reported that an unknown male was disturbed trying to force entry to a house in the area. A window of the property was broken as a result but no entry was gained.

He is described as wearing glasses and a grey hooded top and black jacket.

Detectives are investigating a possible link between these burglaries and Detective Sergeant Emme Wallace is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents or anyone with any information that could assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Ardmore Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the Independent Charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
