The statement comes as we approach the Halloween period and fireworks become a regular sight on our streets. Speaking on the issue the Independent Councillor stated, “I call on the public to remain vigilant and stay safe in the run up to Halloween. He added, Young people in particular need to be careful, although fireworks can be seen as a bit of fun. We have seen time and time again that if they are not used safely they can cause serious injury.”
