Anger over attacks on Irish language signs

Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane has condemned the damage to an Irish language sign on the main Hilltown to Mayobridge Road. ruane13Speaking to Newry Times, Ruane said, “As with all kinds of vandalism, I condemn in the strongest possible terms the destruction of Irish language signs. “I urge all those involved to stop this anti-social behaviour. She added, “The Irish language belongs to everyone in our society and I would ask anyone with information on these attacks to contact the PSNI.”
