Southern Trust psychiatrist achieves prestigious accreditation

A Consultant Medical Psychotherapist for the Southern Health and Social Care Trust has been awarded with full NIASP membership. Dr Heather MillsDr Heather Mills works across the Trust area specialising in the assessment and treatment of patients suffering from an eating disorder. NIASP is the Northern Ireland Association for the Study of Psychoanalysis and is the only BPC recognised professional and training organisation in Northern Ireland. Dr Mills is one of three Southern Trust Psychotherapists to have been awarded this prestigious membership. Congratulating Dr Mills, Francis Rice, Mental Health & Disability Services Director for the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, “We are committed to ensuring that our staff have the very best training so that our patients and clients will benefit from the very latest learning. “I would like to pay tribute to Dr Mills for her hard work in gaining this membership which shows her dedication to continual professional development and ensuring her clients get the best possible care,” Francis added. Dr Chada, Associate Medical Director added her congratulations to her psychiatric colleague in gaining this prestigious membership which has taken a lot of dedication, effort and time and is a great attribute to the Trust.
