Fifty-two companies with over 600 vacancies have so far confirmed their attendance on the day. The vacancies include both full and part-time opportunities as well as permanent and seasonal jobs. The job fair is free of charge to attend and will offer jobseekers the chance to discuss various job opportunities with leading companies including Norbrook, First Derivatives, Eishtec and MJM Marine. The fair, which will take place between 10am and 4pm, has been organised by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL). A wide range of vacancies will be available as well as advice and guidance on a range of training and re-skilling opportunities. Christina Kelly, deputy head of DEL’s Careers Service, said, “Careers Advisers will be on hand to offer careers information, advice and guidance to anyone thinking about changing jobs or career direction, looking for Education/Training/Employment opportunities, or looking for information on a particular career. “You will also be able to get assistance and advice on writing a CV, filling in application forms, interviews techniques and much more. So if you’re unsure what careers might suit you or how to plan your next step, why not call into the Canal Court and speak to one of the Careers Service’s professionally qualified Careers Advisers? She added, “You can also call 0300 200 7820 or log on to the www.nidirect.gov.uk/careers to access a wealth of useful information and locate your nearest Careers Office.” Large and small employers from across Northern Ireland will be available to answer questions, discuss training and employment opportunities.
