Witnesses sought after Newry theft

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of theft and criminal damage at a construction site at a reservoir in the Fort Hill Road area of Newry.

It is believed that sometime between 1:30pm on Saturday 7th and 8:30am on Monday 9th February, thieves parked a vehicle on a road running behind the reservoir, broke into the site, and carried a quantity of power tools across fields.

Investigating officer, Constable Tom Ruddell, is appealing for anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity or who has any information to contact police at Ardmore on 101 quoting reference number 192090215.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
