19 cannabis plants found in South Armagh after police operation

Police officers from the local E District Support Unit uncovered a cannabis factory during searches to support a HMRC investigation in South Armagh on Wednesday, 4th February.

Explaining the investigation, Sergeant Mark Wright said, “During the search in Concession Road we found a cannabis factory in an outhouse. We recovered 19 cannabis plants, lamps and other paraphernalia.

“We arrested a 52 year old man for possession of Class b drugs and cultivating cannabis. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Wright added, “We would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to drug use or supply in their local area. You can contact local police by phoning 101.”
