Fews area Sinn Féin Councillor Roisin Mulgrew has said that the theft of a recently installed Wood Burner Stove from the facility used by swimmers at Camlough Lake has caused great anger throughout the community.

The Stolen Stove

Speaking to Newry Times, the local Councillor said, “This Stove had just been installed into the facility used by local swimmers on the lake as an essential Hot Room which would help aid the recovery of swimmers after ice swims. “Its theft is a mean criminal act which has caused great dismay and anger throughout the community. I would appeal for anyone who knows anything about this incident or who will be approached to buy the stove, to contact the police immediately,” she added.
